Learn to Be a Responsible Pet Owner

Being a responsible pet owner means minimizing the impact pets have on wildlife by keeping them indoors, never setting them 'free' into nature, and supervising pets when they are outside to prevent them from hunting or disturbing wild animals. This also keeps our pets safe from harm. I will spend 10 minutes learning about ways to ensure my pet’s behavior and care practices protect local wildlife and their ecosystems.

I can put up a fence in my yard or get an invisible fence. I can also train my dog to leave other wildlife animals alone. Being a responible pet owner contributes to the well-being of both my pets and the environment by making sure they don't interact in a negative way. By watching my dog I can give my dog the attention he needs while simultaneously preventing him from attacking another wildlife animal.

I like having house plants. I like house plants because they can pull a room together and they are aesthetically pleasing. I need to get plant food to level up the health of my plants and so they can grow stronger.

After I am done meditating, I feel that my mind is clearer. This is because meditating allows me to reflect on things I find most important. At first meditating was hard because I felt that my mind was all over the place thinking about things, but now that I have done it for a while it has gotten better and I can actually focus on one thought before moving on to the next.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land, Water, and Air
How did shortening your showers affect your awareness of water conservation? What other water-saving practices can you adopt in your daily routine?

I realized that I am taking longer showers than I need to. I can turn off the water when rinsing my mouth after brushing my teeth instead of letting it run while I rinse my mouth.
