I chose the "disposal of cooking oil" task for clean water ways. It was a bit sparse on what to do with oil and I didn't agree with all of their choices or they didn't apply properly for Toronto.
    1) Don't dispose down train (their idea and I NEVER do that) it's not only bad for the water ways it's bad for your plumbing so just don't.
    2) it says don't poor in back yard (partially agree). If you have a compost in your back yard then you are already attracting critters so no real harm in small amounts disposed of here
    3) store and trash (don't agree it's creating more waste)
    4) reuse (agree but make sure you aren't using oil contaminated or keeping it too long it's a bit tricky to manage)
    Toronto things:
    5) Call toxic Taxi to dispose of large amounts (call 311 and ask for pick up of more than 10L and less than 50L) or take it to local transfer station
    6) poor small amounts in green bin. Use used paper towel to mop it up

Hey Fenn, I found the same. Here's an interesting read from a UK site that might give some extra context - https://bioukfuels.co.uk/blog/how-do-you-dispose-of-used-cooking-oil/#domestic-households-disposal

Interesting to know that commercially, there is a legal requirement to dispose of your used cooking oil via a licenced waste carrier which is then transported and recycled into useable biofuels.
