Arianne's actions
Wildlife
Learn How to Save the Bees
Bees and other pollinators are vital to ecosystems and agriculture. I will spending 30 minutes learning about local pollinators and why they are so important.
Land, Water, and Air
Reduce Food Waste
Wasting food also wastes water, energy, and resources. I will keep a daily log of food I throw away during the Ecochallenge, either because it went bad before I ate it, I put too much on my plate, or it was scraps from food preparation, and commit to reducing my food waste throughout the challenge.
Wildlife
Protect Pollinators with a Plant or Mini-Habitat
Pollinators need a little help from their friends like us! I will take 3 steps to protect pollinators, such as planting a pollinator-friendly plant, installing a pollinator hotel, or by leaving leaf litter for pollinators to call home.
Health and Well-Being
Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 8 minutes of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.
Land, Water, and Air
Choose Eco-Friendly Wood and Paper Products
Trees provide food and habitat for local wildlife species, shade our streets and homes, and help keep our air and water clean by capturing pollutants. I will learn about certification labels and buy wood and paper products certified as sustainable or recycled to protect forests and reduce environmental harm.
Land, Water, and Air
Collect Rain Water
Rainwater collection reduces water waste and supports gardens. I will install a rain barrel or collect rainwater to use for 1 outdoor tasks, such as watering plants or cleaning.
Community and Connection
Invite a coworker to join Ecochallenge
As a team, we can accomplish so much more, so let's grow our ATG team of Ecochallengers!
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Gorgeous! I had never planted bulbs, so when spring came at our new house and with it a whole flower bed of daffodils, I was thrilled.
