Conserving water helps protect this precious resource. I will shorten my showers to 5 minutes to save water and reduce energy use - each time saving up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water!

Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 15 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.

Learn the 7 Principles of Leave No Trace
Leave No Trace means enjoying nature responsibly by minimizing our impact and leaving the environment as we found it, or better. I will spend 5 minutes learning about the seven core principles to minimize my impact while enjoying the outdoors.

Studies have shown that when we spend consistent time in nature, our health improves, our creativity increases, and our connection to the planet gets stronger. Each day of the Ecochallenge, I will spend 30 minutes outside, then share my observations, reflections, and learnings on the feed.

Watching NatGeo is one of my favorite activities when I was in gradeschool. I just learned today that they have a program where they recognize young leaders who use their voices to inspire and create positive change in the world. One of them is a storyteller who uses her talent in photography to explore, connect, and share the mysteries of our wild spaces to her audiences.-

Today, I heard about Eco Star Recycling Initiative in Kuwait and their purpose of reducing waste pollution. Their idea of rewarding those individuals who cooperate to this initiative is by giving them plants or trees for every recyclable they exchange. They have a smart way to reduce waste and air pollution, while also increasing their green cover. Kudos to the Eco Star team! -

I did some errands this morning and since it is still early, I decided to walk to and from the market. I was able to sneak in a 30-minute exercise by just walking and also reduced my carbon footprint 😊 Of course, I did not forget to bring my eco-bag. -

Edilyn Dulay 4/02/2025 2:11 AMToday, I set a timer and limited my shower to 5 minutes and I was able to reduce my water usage. I am already practicing not to wash my hair everyday to reduce my usage of shampoo and conditioner - which means I can also save money too! -
