LEARN ABOUT DONALDSON EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Being prepared can save lives during emergency situations. I will tour my Donaldson facility to identify where the AED/Emergency Kits are located.
Work and Organizations
Recognize Someone’s Contribution
Recognition strengthens trust and connection. I will recognize 1 people in my organization for their contributions, showing appreciation that helps build resilience and morale.
Community
Join a Group
Belonging to a group can help build friendships and a sense of purpose. I will explore online or in-person groups or clubs that share my interests or goals and join a group to connect with others.
Community
Host a Gathering
Bringing people together helps strengthen bonds. I will organize and host a gathering, such as a potluck, coffee meet up, or shared meal, for friends, family, colleagues, or neighbors to foster connection and community spirit.
Personal
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 40 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
What is resilience?
Share a Resilience Story
Stories connect and inspire us. I will share 3 resilience stories—either from my life, my community, or from a leader or culture I admire—through conversations, social media, or the event feed to help others see resilience in action.
Personal
Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 10 minutes of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.
Soil and Food
Enjoy a Meatless Meal
Producing 1 kg of beef emits as much greenhouse gas as driving 150 miles, meanwhile, 1 kg of veggies or grains leaves a much lighter footprint! This week, I’ll shrink my climate impact by having 1 meatless meals meals each day.
Personal
Meditate
Meditation helps build resilience and clarity. I will spend 8 minutes each day to meditate or create a moment of silence each day to reflect on things important to me.
Water
Understand My Water Footprint
Each of us has a water footprint, directly linked to our daily activities as well as the water required in the production of things we use each day. Understanding our water use is important for a healthy planet. I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste, then share what I learned on the feed.
Share My Why
Share My Why
I will share my Ecochallenge story and why I'm taking action for the planet — and earn 15 points!
Community
Swap and Share with Others
Swapping and sharing resources reduces waste and builds community bonds. I will participate in 1 swaps or sharing activities, like borrowing items, attending or hosting a swap meet, or giving away items I no longer need to support a sharing economy with friends, family, colleagues or neighbors.
Share My Why
Take the Earth Month Ecochallenge Feedback Survey
I will take a short survey about my experience to help the Ecochallenge team improve future events, earn a chance to win a prize, and earn 15 points!
Work and Organizations
Energy Efficiency in Action at Donaldson
Reducing energy use is the foundation of Donaldson’s decarbonization strategy. I will watch the video on this link to learn about energy efficiency opportunities and examples across our sites and submit a reflection through the reflection form in the Sharepoint link
Work and Organizations
Zumba Lesson
The idea is to create an activity to build community with co-workers and exercise together as a team
Biodiversity and Wildlife

Read Donaldson's FY25 Sustainability Report
Donaldson recently published their FY25 Sustainability Report, highlighting how we are embedding sustainability into the way we operate. I will review the FY25 Sustainability Report and a complete a short quiz to test my knowledge of Donaldson's sustainable practices.

REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunityWhat was the most rewarding part of bringing people together for a gathering? Did you experience any challenges in hosting, and if so, how did you overcome them?

I´m a little shy but been part of a sports group has helped with this.
I discovered that Flag Football community is awesome, very warm and supportive. Planned a scrimmage with another flag football team for them to practice and prepare for a tournament, and for my team to also practice and better integrate before our tournament begins. Enjoyed this activity, made good exercise and then had lunch with the team. Cannot ask for a better way to spend a Saturday. -

Almost a year ago, my team and I planted a tree in the parking lot as part of the company's reforestation campaign. Today I´d like to remind us that these kinds of activities are not only about planting it but also taking care of it.

Low keyway to reduce one time plastics is to have your favorite water container and carry it with you 24/7-

I have some wonderful water containers that I love because you can squeeze them to move the water so you don't have to apply suction or tip the container up. I bought a set of four, each with a different colored top (so a few of us can carry them without mixing them up), at a garage sale for a dollar.

I heard someone said, "I miss real food" and I was like, isn't all real?
He meant eating veggies, fruits, homemade meals, and not the ultra processed fast food we can easily access through apps. When did we stop knowing what's in our food?-

Not only that, but we have bred so much nutrition out of our food for appearance and shelf life. There's a good book by Jo Robinson that talks about this.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWork and OrganizationsWhat sustainability practices would like to see more companies adopt?
Paola Diaz 4/24/2026 7:44 AM- Adventurer 🏔
Home Office. I think is a great way to save energy, reduce emissions and improve wellness. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONWhat is resilience? What story did you share, and how did it feel to share it? Did telling or hearing resilience stories shift how you think about strength and adaptability?
Paola Diaz 4/23/2026 11:44 AM- Adventurer 🏔
During work lunch, we tend to engage in small talk, but took this challenge as an opportunity to change the conversation to more meaningful topics and share stories with my coworkers about work and life experiences that have made us stronger. Now we know a little more about ourselves and can appreciate everyone´s abilities during hard times. -
