I learned that tourism can negatively impact wildlife by disrupting their natural behaviors, habitats, and diets. To make more conscious choices when planning a trip, it is important to avoid activities that involve touching or feeding wildlife and to adhere to Leave No Trace principles. By making informed travel decisions, such as supporting eco-friendly accommodations and conservation-focused tours, we can contribute to wildlife conservation and ensure respectful interactions with nature.

I learned that water justice issues include unequal access to clean water and sanitation, with marginalized and low-income communities being the most affected. In my community, these issues disproportionately impact those in vulnerable socio-economic conditions. I can contribute to creating equitable access to clean water by advocating for policy changes, supporting local water initiatives, and promoting awareness and education on water conservation and rights.

Learned about environmental justice concerns in the Philippines today - deforestation, mining, pollution, and the effects of climate change. These issues mostly affect poor communities and indigenous peoples who rely on nature for their living.

To help, local groups are planting trees, promoting eco-friendly farming, and protecting indigenous lands. They also work to inform people, push for better laws, and make sure companies follow the rules to protect the environment.
