  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    What is resilience?
What story did you share, and how did it feel to share it? Did telling or hearing resilience stories shift how you think about strength and adaptability?

The story I shared was about navigating an unexpected challenge where plans had to change quickly, and success depended more on adaptability and support than on having everything under control. It focused on learning along the way, adjusting expectations, and leaning on others when needed.
Sharing it felt meaningful and grounding. Putting the experience into words helped me see how much growth came from uncertainty, not despite it. Hearing others share their own resilience stories added depth—each one highlighted different forms of strength, from quiet perseverance to collective problem‑solving.
Overall, telling and hearing these stories shifted how I think about resilience. It reinforced that strength isn’t just about endurance or doing things alone; it’s about flexibility, reflection, and connection. Adaptability often grows through community, empathy, and a willingness to learn from change.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    What is resilience?
What definition of resilience did you choose to share, and why? How did others respond to it, and did it spark any new insights for you?

The definition of resilience I shared was the ability to adapt, recover, and grow stronger through change or challenge. I chose it because it emphasizes flexibility and learning, not just endurance—acknowledging that resilience is an active, evolving process.
Others responded positively, especially to the idea that resilience includes growth, not just “pushing through.” It sparked new insights for me around how resilience can be collective, not just individual—built through support systems, collaboration, and shared responsibility rather than self‑reliance alone.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Work and Organizations
How does being part of a green team strengthen collaboration? What role can green teams play in building organizational resilience?

Green teams strengthen collaboration by bringing people from different roles together around a shared purpose. This cross‑functional teamwork improves communication, breaks silos, and encourages collective problem‑solving.
Green teams build organizational resilience by promoting proactive thinking, sustainability awareness, and preparedness for environmental and operational risks. They also boost employee engagement, making the organization more adaptable and strong during change.

What did you do to prepare for extreme weather events? Did being more prepared improve your peace of mind or make you feel more prepared to help others? Share any tips or resources you found helpful in the feed!

Preparing for extreme weather events meant taking a few simple but important steps ahead of time—staying informed through reliable weather alerts, keeping an emergency kit ready (water, basic supplies, power bank, first‑aid items), and having a plan for communication and safety if conditions worsened. I also made a point to secure important documents and check in with family and neighbors about contingency plans.
Being more prepared definitely improved my peace of mind. Knowing I had thought things through reduced a lot of stress during uncertain situations. It also made me feel more confident and able to help others—whether that meant sharing updates, offering supplies, or just checking in on someone who needed support.
Tips and resources I found helpful:
    • Sign up for local weather alerts and trusted news sources
    • Keep an emergency contact list easily accessible
    • Prepare a basic grab‑and‑go kit for quick movement if needed
    • Stay connected with your community—preparedness is stronger together
Preparedness isn’t about fear; it’s about readiness, resilience, and looking out for one another.

    Community
What was the most rewarding part of bringing people together for a gathering? Did you experience any challenges in hosting, and if so, how did you overcome them?

The most rewarding part of bringing people together was seeing everyone connect and engage so naturally. Watching conversations spark, laughter flow, and people feel included created a strong sense of community. It was especially fulfilling to know that the effort put into planning resulted in meaningful interactions and shared moments that people genuinely enjoyed.
There were a few challenges while hosting, mainly around coordination and timing—ensuring everyone was informed, comfortable, and that activities ran smoothly. A few last‑minute changes also required quick adjustments. I overcame these by staying flexible, communicating clearly, and focusing on solutions rather than stressing over setbacks. Having a positive mindset and relying on teamwork made a big difference, and ultimately everything came together successfully.

    Work and Organizations
What risks or resources did you identify? How might this knowledge help your group respond better in times of change?

    Mrudula Deshmukh's avatar

I identified key resources like shared skills, communication, and mutual support within the group, along with risks such as limited resources or uncertainty during change. Knowing what we have and what could challenge us helps the group respond more calmly and effectively. This awareness allows us to plan ahead, support each other better, and adapt together when situations change.
