    Earth Month Ecochallenge 2026 ✨
    From intention to action.
    From habits to impact.
One step at a time… and it all counts. 🌍

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water
What did you learn about your water footprint, and what changes felt most practical or surprising? How does this connect to resilience on a larger scale?

    Alejandra De la Rosa's avatar
Alejandra De la Rosa 4/30/2026 11:06 AM
I realized that my daily habits are more connected to the planet than I thought. That every choice carries an impact, even the ones that feel insignificant.
But instead of feeling overwhelmed, I chose to see it as an opportunity.
An opportunity to be more mindful.
    To waste less.
To value something as simple—and essential—as water.
I’ve started making small changes: being more conscious of how long I use water, reducing waste where I can, and paying more attention to what I consume.
It may not seem like much, but change doesn’t start big—it starts intentionally.
Understanding our water footprint isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being aware… and choosing to do a little better each day.
Because a healthier planet begins with the decisions we make, one drop at a time.
What’s one small change you could make today? 💧🌍
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    What is resilience?
What story did you share, and how did it feel to share it? Did telling or hearing resilience stories shift how you think about strength and adaptability?

Stories connect and inspire us ✨
I want to share a story of resilience that always reminds me that even in the hardest moments, something within us is still standing.
A few years ago, I met a woman in my community who had lost almost everything during a very difficult time in her life—her job, her stability, and even her confidence in herself. For a while, all she had left was uncertainty… and fear.
But there was something she didn’t lose: her ability to try again.
She started with small steps—selling things she made, knocking on doors, facing rejection. There were days when giving up felt easier than continuing. But she didn’t stop.
Little by little, what began as a necessity turned into a project, and that project became a new life. It wasn’t fast or easy, but it was real.
One day, I asked her what made her keep going, and her answer stayed with me:
"It wasn’t that I wasn’t afraid… it was that I decided my life was worth more than that fear."
That is resilience. It’s not about never falling—it’s about rising, even when you’re not sure you can.
Today I share this story because we all need, at some point, to remember that it’s possible to start again.
What about you? What story of resilience lives within you? 💬
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water
How did collecting rainwater make you feel about the cycles of nature and resource use? What did you use the water for?

    Alejandra De la Rosa's avatar
Alejandra De la Rosa 4/28/2026 4:06 PM
Every drop counts. Collecting rainwater not only reduces waste, it’s also a conscious way to support our own needs and care for the environment. Today I choose to take a simple but meaningful step: using rainwater for everyday tasks like watering plants or cleaning. Small actions can create big change when we all take responsibility for our resources. 💧🌱

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water
What did you notice about how mulching helps the soil and plants? How does this small action connect to bigger ideas of water resilience?

    Alejandra De la Rosa's avatar
Alejandra De la Rosa 4/27/2026 10:49 AM
🌿 This month I learned that caring for water also starts from the ground up. Mulching—adding a layer of organic material around plants—helps the soil retain moisture and reduces water runoff.
I decided to apply this practice to the trees and plants around me, understanding that it’s not just about watering more, but about helping the soil make the most of every drop.
These are simple but powerful changes: they improve soil health, strengthen plants, and support more mindful water use.
Today, I’m sharing this action as a reminder that small decisions can create a lasting impact on our environment. 💚

Awesome! Choosing the right plants is important too- native plants with long tap roots can help increase water penetration and retention, while reducing the runoff. Looks like a great plant you got there, very healthy and green :)
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water
What personal action did you create, and why does it matter to you?

    Alejandra De la Rosa's avatar
Alejandra De la Rosa 4/27/2026 10:44 AM
💧 This month made me rethink something as simple as how I use water. I realized that small habits truly make a big difference.
Before, I used to brush my teeth with the tap running… now I use a cup to avoid wasting water. I also turn off the shower while I’m soaping up. Simple actions, but with a real impact.
Everyone’s water needs and usage are different, but we can all find changes that fit our daily lives and support more mindful water use.
Today, I’m sharing my commitment publicly to remind myself that change starts with everyday actions… and to inspire others to do the same. 💙
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What kind of restoration activity did you join, and how do you think it contributes to building resilience for people, plants, and wildlife?

🌱✨ This #EcoChallenge month, I decided to do something different: hike up a hill and not just enjoy the journey, but take care of it too.
With a bag in hand, I picked up the trash others left behind… because change starts with small actions. ♻️
💚 Beyond the workout, I found something even more valuable: peace, a deeper connection with nature, and a huge reduction in my anxiety.
Today, I didn’t just climb a hill… I took a step for myself and for the planet. 🌍

Today we reunited with “Rayito,” the little tree we planted back in 2025 🌱✨
It’s not just a tree… it’s a living promise. Today we cared for it, protected it, and gave it strength to keep growing—because in its branches lives the future: clean air, comforting shade, and life for those yet to come. 🌿💚
Every drop of water, every small effort, is a reminder that change begins with simple actions filled with purpose. Today we take care of Rayito… tomorrow, Rayito will take care of us.
