One way I can reduce my impact on nature while hiking is by always sticking to established trails, even if there's a tempting shortcut or a scenic spot just off the path. Straying off trail can damage fragile plants and contribute to erosion, especially in high traffic areas.
By staying on the trail, you can help to preserve the natural environment for others to enjoy and protecting ecosystems that can be easily disrupted. It may seem like a small action, but when lots of hikers do the same, it really makes a difference in keeping trails and surrounding habitats healthy and beautiful for the long run! Leave No Trace! :)
