Angelica's actions
Land, Water, and Air
Understand My Water Footprint
Each of us has a water footprint, directly linked to our daily activities as well as the water required in the production of things we use each day. Understanding our water use is important for a healthy planet. I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste, then share what I learned on the feed.
Health and Well-Being
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 20 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Sustainable Innovation
Choose a Product Made with Sustainable Materials
Every choice matters. I will purchase or switch to products made from sustainable or recycled materials to support innovation and reduce environmental impact.
Wildlife
Learn How to Save the Bees
Bees and other pollinators are vital to ecosystems and agriculture. I will spending 20 minutes learning about local pollinators and why they are so important.
Empowering the Next Generation
Enjoy the Environment with Youth
Experiencing nature together builds appreciation and connection. I will spend 30 minutes enjoying an outdoor activity with a young person, such as hiking, visiting a park or nature center, or exploring a trail.
Sustainable Innovation
Conduct a Plastics Audit
Reducing plastic use starts with awareness, and there are amazing innovations in materials to replace plastic! I will conduct an audit of the plastic products I use daily and identify items I can replace with sustainable alternatives.
Health and Well-Being
Audit Toxic Products in my Home
Many common products contain harmful chemicals. I will spend 20 minutes researching chemicals found in products I use, and I will make a list of products I'd like to replace with safer options.
Participant Feed
Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.
Share thoughts, encourage others, and reinforce positive new habits on the Feed.
To get started, share “your why.” Why did you join the challenge and choose the actions you did?

Angelica Cunha 4/15/2025 10:04 AMI'm still working on my plastics audit. Yesterday, I completed a trash audit to better understand what we're throwing away. My next step is to explore alternatives, starting with five commonly discarded ones. I’ll then share these findings with my family so we can all work toward reducing plastic waste together.-

Angelica Cunha 4/14/2025 5:21 PMI read about how to conduct a plastics audit and found the tools and spreadsheets provided especially helpful in guiding the process. However, I realized that completing a full audit of my household will require more than a day.-

Angelica Cunha 4/11/2025 11:44 AMJust learned about nocturnal pollinators, and wow, I had no idea! Moths, bats, beetles, and even fireflies work the night shift to keep ecosystems thriving. Nature never sleeps!-

Angelica Cunha 4/09/2025 8:41 AMBased on my experience of using PlantPaper toilette paper for the past six months, I believe the company is genuinely trying to be sustainable. They use bamboo instead of trees, avoid harmful chemicals, and use plastic-free packaging, which makes me feel better about both health and environmental impact.
There’s real opportunity for PlantPaper to expand into other eco-friendly bathroom products and educate consumers about the hidden impacts of traditional paper. They could also offer starter kits or rewards to encourage more people to make the switch, because cost is a barrier, as their papers are more expensive than regular ones.
What I take from this is that small, thoughtful choices matter, and that we can apply the same mindset to encourage better, healthier products through transparency and care.-
