Today I ate a handful of mixed berries with my breakfast, some raspberries, blue berries, strawberries and black berries. And for dinner, I had a pasta salad, full of peas, green beans, cherry tomatoes, and kale. With my partner being a pescatarian, they have influenced me heavily out of overconsuming meats. It's now a little treat for me instead of a staple in my diet. I believe my consumption habits changing significantly has helped my individual responsibility to sustainability.

Today I went on a walk through my neighborhood, of downtown Portland, so I wouldn't say I connected with nature much. It was a beautiful sunny day and I just wanted to soak up some of it before it was too late. It was very peaceful, normally I would walk to some music but I broke my phone a week ago so I felt way more engaged with my environment than during a normal day. As I was waiting at a stop light I overheard a stranger complimenting someone's shoes, it then broke off into a little conversation. It was very sweet to listen to, I appreciate little moments like that.

Today I focused on clearing the energy stored in my body. I focused on breathing in and thought about the air being green and when I breathed out it was black. Eventually my body started to relax, as the body relaxed my mind felt it was clearing out and all there was left was sensation. I forgot to set a timer but if I was to guess it was around the 7 minute mark that my body gave in to the meditation. Afterwards I felt more present, centered in my body and ready to take on the 2nd half of my day.
