Being a responsible pet owner means minimizing the impact pets have on wildlife by keeping them indoors, never setting them 'free' into nature, and supervising pets when they are outside to prevent them from hunting or disturbing wild animals. This also keeps our pets safe from harm. I will spend 30 minutes learning about ways to ensure my pet’s behavior and care practices protect local wildlife and their ecosystems.

    Shortening my showers has made me realize how much water I waste daily. Some other water-saving practices I have adopted into my routine are turning off the water while I brush my teeth and using my dishwasher only when I have a full load!

    This challenge has been eye-opening and has taught me a lot of different lessons. For example, I have been more mindful of how much water I am using, what I am throwing away, etc!

    The young leader that I learned about is Licypriya Kangujam. She is a 12-year-old Indian Climate activist. Her story is amazing and inspires me because she has done so much at such a young age. For example, she has been campaigning for her cause since age six to protect and preserve our environment. She has been a part of various movements and has confronted world leaders about climate justice. There is so much more about Licypriya that speaks to me, and I would recommend reading her story!

    I love to express random acts of kindness, but I wanted to express more gratitude to the people who have helped and guided me the most! I expressed gratitude towards a few different people and it was a fulfilling experience! :)

    My Earth Month ecochallenge is going well so far! I have been mindful of all of the challenges that I can complete every day, and have worked hard to complete each one.

    I would like to shift my sleeping patterns in a positive light and get enough sleep for my physical and mental health. I made sure to stay off my phone and avoid any distractions before bed. This improved my day because I was more focused and ready to take on my day.
