What is resilience?

Reflect on My Own Resilience

Resilience is personal and collective. I will reflect on a time when I adapted to change in my own life, writing down what helped me and what I learned from the experience.

It was easier than what I thought, to check in everyday, made me realize small changes are implemented with habits and it helps integrating important changes in our lives.

It is going well, becoming easier everyday to be mindful of waste, mindful choice of consumption and being aware of the environmental impact of each of my action.

I started to think differently. I noticed that having to check in everyday, is in fact, a great exercise in everyday life: I am more mindful of food waste, I think twice before buying something a product with high carbon footprint.

I made a curry soup and chopping different vegetables into small cubes made them easy to eat.

My Earth Month Ecochallenge 2026 has been going well so far. I’ve been making an effort to eat more fruit each day, like adding it to breakfast or choosing it as a snack instead of processed foods. It’s helped me feel more energized, and I’ve been trying to pick seasonal options when I can. Overall, it’s been a simple but positive change that’s made me more mindful of my habits.

Getting things done, multitasking between work, full time school and managing staying healthy with the gym has been challenging especially the last couple days with less hours of sleep but I am grateful to call them experience and cultivate resilience.

I started to cut the fruits and take them with me, so that it is easier to eat them.

How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet? What fruits or vegetables did you try this week, and which was your favorite?

It is a bit of adjustments, but very doeabe. I think I was expecting it to be more challenging, but I understand that everything is built on habits.

I've found that I can make a lot of vegetables taste better if I roast them after tossing them in a little olive oil with seasoning. Now I can even tolerate Brussels sprouts! :)
