I supported several local businesses over the weekend including a locally owned consignment store! We love that we are able to buy things 2nd hand and keep them out of our landfills, and when it's time to re-home our own clothes, we love knowing someone else can buy them at a locally owned shop (where we end up with lots of store credit) :) -
REFLECTION QUESTIONCommunity and ConnectionWhat did you learn about the businesses or owners you supported? How does shopping locally contribute to a more vibrant and resilient community?
Morgan Campbell 4/08/2025 8:27 AMShopping locally is such a rewarding experience. I have switched my weekend routine to include a local coffee shop over a chain and not only am I getting to know my neighbors, but I am supporting them! My local woman-owned coffee shop helps support my local community, and I love their personal touch and handcrafted drinks! -

I have made a couple sustainable swaps and I am so excited about them! I picked up shampoo and conditioner bars to replace the plastic bottles I used to buy. They come with zero plastic! I have also taken up the habit of bringing my reusable containers to my local bulk section to help reduce my plastic waste that way as well. Excited to see what else I can do.
