I am the opposite. I don't get enough sleep. I have been to a sleep clinic and I don't suffer from sleep apnea but I do snore and grind my teeth. I am trying to reduce my stress and cortisol levels through meditation but like you, it's causing low mood, as well as brain fog and lack of energy. Good luck on finding a resolution.

Personal
Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 300 minutes of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.
Personal
Meditate
Meditation helps build resilience and clarity. I will spend 15 minutes each day to meditate or create a moment of silence each day to reflect on things important to me.
Personal
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 25 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.

Ryan Califf 4/11/2026 1:25 PMI just got back from my walk but got bit by a Rottweiler on the hip. I also held silence for at least 45 minutes today and slept 9 hours. As for the dog bite, I washed it and still deciding what to do. -
Ryan Califf 4/10/2026 2:28 PMI didn't go on a walk yet today because I went most days this week so I'm still kind of sore. I spent time with meditation/prayer and reading, and I get plenty of sleep. I actually sleep too much but at least I' getting enough to function throughout the day. But yeah, sometimes I feel like I sleep too much life away. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalHow did improving your sleep affect your energy, focus, or mood? What role does rest play in helping you feel more balanced and capable of handling challenges?
Ryan Califf 4/09/2026 5:26 PMI am a very long sleeper so I actually sleep too much in my opinion. What happens is I have so much bank sleep from the day before that I get up early the following morning like today. I think it's my sleeping pills that make me sleep too long, but I need them for sleep initiation. I worry about my long sleep patterns as it can cause low mood during the day. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalWhat did you notice about your thoughts or emotions during or after meditation? How might mindfulness or calmness support your well-being day to day?
Ryan Califf 4/09/2026 5:18 PMI spent time thinking about God when I'm out walking or cooking, I also pray for my family and country. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONPersonalHow did exercising each day impact your physical and mental resilience? What activities helped you feel stronger, more flexible, or more capable of adapting?
Ryan Califf 4/09/2026 5:00 PMGiven the very bright sunny days this week I have decided to go on daily walks around my neighborhood, and it is very good - getting vitamin D and stretching my legs.-
Anika Rajesh 4/09/2026 5:31 PMThat's awesome! I have found that, after keeping a goal of a 30-minute walk a day, I have talked to more people in my neighborhood, explored more of the community around me, and felt happier knowing that I was doing something for myself. Walking truly is an all-rounder exercise, allowing us to keep our bodies physically active, as well as our minds, based on where we decide to take our next hike.
