  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Personal
Before you started this challenge, did you think you were 'addicted' to sugar? How do you feel now? What was the most challenging part of reducing refined sugar, and how did you overcome it?

I was addicted to sugar but through energy drinks more than anything. After not having sugar for a while I did notice that my skin started to clear up and I started craving it less and less. The most challenging part so far has been staying away mainly from sugary drinks.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Biodiversity and Wildlife
What species did you discover and log? Why do you think that logging species can help protect them?

I started tracking a cheetah named lily. I believe logging species helps protect them because it creates a record of where they live and how common they are. This can help scientists tract over time if a species is becoming endangered and could help protect their habitats.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Water
How did shortening your showers affect your awareness of water conservation? What other water-saving practices can you adopt in your daily routine?

Shortening my showers made me realize how much water and time I'm wasting in the shower without even realizing it. Other easy ways to save water would be turning off the sink while brushing your teeth and only running the washer when it's full instead of putting in many different loads of laundry separately.

Shortening my shower time gave me a real opportunity to reduce the amount of water I use. I also encouraged the other members of my household to do the same.
Additionally, I introduced using a cup when rinsing after brushing teeth instead of keeping the tap running the whole time.
