  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Health and Well-Being
How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet? What fruits or vegetables did you try this week, and which was your favorite?

It reduces our carbon footprint by focusing on fruits and not meat. I eat a lot of bananas, apples, and oranges. I can't wait until plums and peaches are in season.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community and Connection
How did keeping your community more clean connect you more to your local area? Did picking up litter change your perspective on the cleanliness of your community?

Nobody wants to see the area they live in littered with trash. Our community does a fairly nice job, I believe, when it comes to keeping community clean.

Trash is just as easy to pick up and throw away as it is to drop it on the floor and litter. I think littering is super lazy when you can carry your trash item for an extra few minutes until a garbage can is found.

It's always good to connect with people you don't see as much as you used to.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Community and Connection
How did checking in with someone strengthen your relationship or provide support? How did it feel to reach out and connect?

It was reassuring for both of us to know that we are still there for one another even if we don't speak all the time. It always feels good to talk to someone you don't get to see all the time.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Land, Water, and Air
How did shortening your showers affect your awareness of water conservation? What other water-saving practices can you adopt in your daily routine?

You sacrifice some of your peace in a sense, but those long showers where your fingers become slightly proony show how much water you're using compared to being in and out and not treating it as a luxury. Another practice would be only using the dishwasher when it's full, and being cautious with how much water is being run when hand washing dishes.
