Health and Well-Being
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 45 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Wildlife
Learn to be a Responsible Tourist
Being a responsible tourist means not disturbing wildlife and choosing eco-friendly tour operators and destinations that prioritize wildlife conservation and respect animal welfare. I will spend 15 minutes researching ways to travel responsibly to ensure my adventures support, rather than harm, wildlife and their habitats.
Land, Water, and Air
Save Water When Washing Dishes
Dishwashers can save water — if used wisely. I will only run the dishwasher when it’s full and skip the pre-rinse to reduce water and energy use. If I don't have a dishwasher, I will turn off the tap as often as possible while washing dishes.
Health and Well-Being
Prioritize Getting Enough Sleep
Good sleep is essential for a healthy body and mind. I will prioritize getting 15 minutes of quality sleep each night and develop a bedtime routine that supports rest and relaxation.
Health and Well-Being
Explore Resources for Managing Anxiety
Anxiety can be overwhelming, but resources and strategies can help. I will spend 10 minutes exploring resources that help manage anxiety and stress to support my mental and psychological well being.
Wildlife
Use Reusable Bags
Plastic bags do not always end up in landfills and if they aren't properly disposed of. In nature, they can be mistaken for food by many wild animals and harm wildlife. When I go shopping, I will be sure to bring my own bags to reduce waste and the chance that plastic bags could find their way into wildlife habitats.

REFLECTION QUESTIONWildlifeHow difficult was this challenge for you? What made it easy or difficult?
Julia Buechler 4/02/2025 7:48 AMI decided that I needed some small groceries that I forgot to get. I went on Sunday night, and I just brought a Bogg bag with me to put my groceries in. I find those bags really convenient because you can put a lot of things in them. So, what I did, was take the cart of my paid groceries out to my car and load them up in that bag instead of using the one-time plastic bags. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONLand, Water, and AirHow did changing your dishwashing habits make you more mindful of water use? What other small changes can you make to conserve water in your household?
Julia Buechler 4/02/2025 7:46 AM- Book Lover 📚
So, while doing the dishes, I turned off the water when I was grabbing another dish, or I turned the water off when I was scrubbing the dish with soap. I only turned on the water when I had to rinse the dish that I was scrubbing/using. Maybe one change we could do is, instead of running the water the whole time, maybe filling the sink with soap and water would be more beneficial to saving water. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingWhat resource or strategy stood out to you the most, and how might it help in managing anxiety?
Julia Buechler 4/02/2025 7:44 AM- Book Lover 📚
One thing I found in my resources that doing what you love decreases your anxiety. I love to read, but with working a full and part time job while being in school has made it hard to find time to read. So, I decided to read for 30 minutes each day to see if it helped my anxiety.-

- 4-DAY STREAK
For me playing & spending time with my furbabies helped alot in decreasing anxiety. These kids cheer up your mood instantly. You can have your venting session with them :) They listen to you so carefully with raised eyebrows that you will instantly have a smile on your face.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingConsider how many hours of sleep you get now. How would you like to shift your sleep patterns? What changes did you make to improve your sleep, and how did they affect your day?
Julia Buechler 4/02/2025 7:43 AM- Book Lover 📚
I like the sleep pattern I have now/ My sleep pattern includes no longer staying up later than 11pm and getting up an hour before work with is either 6 am or 7 am. I think I would like to shift my sleeping patterns to maybe trying to go to bed earlier, and of course I do fall asleep earlier than some other days. But maybe I should limit myself to not falling asleep after 10:30pm. This affected my day in a good way, as I stayed energetic throughout the day and wasn't as tired. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingHow did exercising each day impact your physical or mental well-being? What activity did you enjoy most, and why?
Julia Buechler 4/02/2025 7:40 AM- Book Lover 📚
Exercising each day, has made me feel more energetic and happier with myself for doing that. It also makes me feel less tired the next day since I decide to go to bed earlier now. So, each day I do something different. I do leg day, then push day, then a pull day, cardio day, and then a rest day and then repeat the process.
