    I have to admit that everyday I really looked forward to posting here and reading how others are impacting the world. As we come to an end it is bittersweet. I will however be looking forward to 2026. Happy "save the earth"

    I support my grandaughters elementary school weekly. Our teachers are working so hard and are so unappreciated. I try to help with supplies from their wish list, token gifts for coffee and/or making sure that they know they are respected, appreciated and important for the kids wellbeing.

    I am part of a "BUY NOTHING" group and one of the people work with troubled youths. I was able to make a very substantial donation to 4 high school students who would not have normally had a water bottle. I feel SO good that I was able to contribute and she is going to share pictures with me.

    The house directly next door is owned by a church and they provide temporary housing for diosplaced people. Today I had the lovely fortune of meeting a beautiful family that had lost their home to fire and will be staying for a short time.

    So we re-sodded our yard the past weekend and in SFLA the sun is VERY brutally hot and dries out the grass fast. I feel very conflicted about the grass dying and having to water. thankfully we have a well.

      Hey Michele! Grass lawns are one of those things where it's tough to make a decision on--it's nice to have lawn cover for outdoor activities, but it comes at a cost to water resources and biodiversity. Have you considered switching to an alternative ground cover? Moss lawns or native grasses (if you have any in your area) are becoming more popular, and they can save time and money in the upkeep! This website here gives a couple examples: Grass Alternatives: 12 Low-Maintenance Lawn Replacements | Almanac.com

    Woke up this morning feeling really "earth friendly" I felt exceptionally close to the beauty surrounding me as I walked out side first thing this am.
