Learn to Be a Responsible Pet Owner

Being a responsible pet owner means minimizing the impact pets have on wildlife by keeping them indoors, never setting them 'free' into nature, and supervising pets when they are outside to prevent them from hunting or disturbing wild animals. This also keeps our pets safe from harm. I will spend 30 minutes learning about ways to ensure my pet’s behavior and care practices protect local wildlife and their ecosystems.

Save Water When Washing Dishes

Dishwashers can save water — if used wisely. I will only run the dishwasher when it’s full and skip the pre-rinse to reduce water and energy use. If I don't have a dishwasher, I will turn off the tap as often as possible while washing dishes.

      That is a great idea: the new generations can—and should—work alongside other generations to create this small garden and, more importantly, to learn about what they are growing—and perhaps eat it. It is a wonderful experience for future generations.

    I love natural light. Plus, it's free! I need to keep this goal in mind when visiting, traveling, or meeting with friends and family. I think this goal is an important one to share. While this may be easy for me, it may not come as easily to others.

    Easy goal for me! No washing dishes? I'm in. I think this goal also goes hand in hand with making sure we are doing full loads of laundry. No dirty towels left behind.

    Finding the fine line between not enough and too much sleep is difficult! Distractions come into play often and slowing down isn't always as easy as it seems. I'm working with my body to build a sleep schedule that gets me up on time and ready for the day.
