Christopher's actions

Health and Well-Being

Exercise Daily

Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 30 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.

COMPLETED 17
DAILY ACTIONS

Land, Water, and Air

Reduce Vehicle Idling

Idling cars wastes fuel, contributes to climate change, and pollutes the air in our communities. I will turn off my engine when waiting in my car to reduce air pollution and carbon emissions.

COMPLETED 17
DAILY ACTIONS

Land, Water, and Air

Take Shorter Showers

Conserving water helps protect this precious resource. I will shorten my showers to 5 minutes to save water and reduce energy use - each time saving up to 20 gallons (75 L) of water!

COMPLETED 18
DAILY ACTIONS

Health and Well-Being

Enjoy the Outdoors for 30 Minutes

Studies have shown that when we spend consistent time in nature, our health improves, our creativity increases, and our connection to the planet gets stronger. Each day of the Ecochallenge, I will spend 30 minutes outside, then share my observations, reflections, and learnings on the feed.

COMPLETED 17
DAILY ACTIONS

Community and Connection

Express Gratitude and Random Acts of Kindness

Small acts of kindness and gratitude can brighten someone's day and create a positive ripple effect. I will express gratitude to 2 people or perform 5 random acts of kindness to spread joy and connection.

COMPLETED 17
DAILY ACTIONS

Community and Connection

Invite a coworker to join Ecochallenge

As a team, we can accomplish so much more, so let's grow our ATG team of Ecochallengers!

Never thought about how much water I was wasting just standing in the shower and relaxing. Getting in, bathing and getting out has really shown not only how much water, but how much time I was wasting. I also realize how much water I waste brushing my teeth.

same! I always used to let the water run for a while to heat up, but then I'd get distracted and it would run too long. I've stopped letting myself do that because I realized what a huge waste of water it was

Same here. I realized I need to stop wasting so much time and just knock it out so I can spend that time doing other things.
