Health & Equity
Spend Time Outside
SDG 3
I will replace 30 minute(s) per day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside exercising, enjoying the sunrise/sunset, gardening, journaling, or practicing gratitude for nature.

I will mend clothing for myself, family or friends.
Health & Equity
Communicate Constructively
SDG 16
I will use the communication methods I read about to practice effective, compassionate, and nonviolent communication with someone I interact with regularly (i.e., my roommate, parents, co-worker, partner, classmates, or children).
Climate & Ecosystems
Support Local Pollinators

Penni Beall 4/24/2023 7:51 AMI filled and planted more garden this weekend. It always makes me thankful and appreciative when I am planting or taking care of my garden. I think about nurturing the plants and how they nurture us in return. I am teaching my 4 year old about this and the satisfaction you can feel by growing things yourself and having an edible garden. -

Penni Beall 4/17/2023 3:07 PMOur compost is ready to supplement our plants in containers. This year we are also growing some potatoes in ground. We finally had compost to be able to change up the heavy clay soil enough to grow them well.
In addition to our standard compost pile, we did hugel mounds to get ready for the planting in ground. -
Penni Beall 4/06/2023 7:40 AMI joined the challenge because it is a fun way to make an impact for the planet and my community. I love planting things and sharing homegrown food with others. It seems like people do not value what they make whether that is food or gardening. It is nice to show someone how much better homegrown food is. -

Penni Beall 4/03/2023 12:10 PMI rounded up all of the shirts with missing buttons, or have small holes in them and patched, resewed, sewed the buttons back on. Good as new, sometimes better if I can give a boring or old piece of clothing more personality. -
