Each of us has a water footprint, directly linked to our daily activities as well as the water required in the production of things we use each day. Understanding our water use is important for a healthy planet. I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste, then share what I learned on the feed.

Adding fruits and vegetables to our meals nourishes our body and the planet. I will prepare and enjoy 1 servings of a variety of colorful fruits and veggies.

Enjoy the Outdoors for 30 Minutes

Studies have shown that when we spend consistent time in nature, our health improves, our creativity increases, and our connection to the planet gets stronger. Each day of the Ecochallenge, I will spend 30 minutes outside, then share my observations, reflections, and learnings on the feed.

COMPLETED 9

Decluttering and donating items made me feel so much better, both emotionally and physically. Getting ready to move, it was a huge relief to clear out stuff I didn't need. It felt great to help others by donating, and having less clutter around made me feel lighter and more organized. Plus, it made packing up so much easier!
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet? What fruits or vegetables did you try this week, and which was your favorite?

Eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat benefits my health by providing essential nutrients and potentially reducing the risk of chronic diseases. This week, I ate strawberries, broccoli, and avocados, and my favorite was the strawberries due to their sweetness and juiciness.

I have kept unnecessary driving down, to lower my carbon footprint. Also I've been using rideshare during my business travels to also reduce. Today I chose a meatless breakfast that was delish and gave me a wonderful serving of fruit!

For me the biggest impact is flying. One return flight to the UK is equivalent to a whole year of my driving! It's hard to reduce this currently. I do pack lightly and fly non-stop economy.
