Understand My Water Footprint

Each of us has a water footprint, directly linked to our daily activities as well as the water required in the production of things we use each day. Understanding our water use is important for a healthy planet. I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste, then share what I learned on the feed.

Use Reusable Bags

Plastic bags do not always end up in landfills and if they aren't properly disposed of. In nature, they can be mistaken for food by many wild animals and harm wildlife. When I go shopping, I will be sure to bring my own bags to reduce waste and the chance that plastic bags could find their way into wildlife habitats.

COMPLETED 30
DAILY ACTIONS

Enjoy a Meatless Meal

Producing 1 kg of beef emits as much greenhouse gas as driving 150 miles, meanwhile, 1 kg of veggies or grains leaves a much lighter footprint! This week, I’ll shrink my climate impact by having 1 meatless meals and/or 2 vegan meals each day.

COMPLETED 30

Our eating habits have gone through a major transition when compared to how we ate a decade ago. Due to busy schedules and routines, most people are looking for something quick and easy to grab. However, it is important to make sure that you are providing all the necessary nutrients to your body with the healthy food choices you make. This will help you to stay away from many health issues and also strengthen your body to perform day-to-day activities. If you think that it is time to change your eating habits, and need a healthier and more nutritious option, choosing a balanced vegan diet could be the best option.

If social events fill you with dread, you're not alone! But most people are more focused on themselves than they are on you. The reality is that even if you say or do something a little awkward, people probably won't even remember it the next day. The most important thing is to stay true to yourself.
