Health and Well-Being
Exercise Daily
Daily movement supports our physical and mental health. I will spend 45 minutes each day exercising in a way that feels good to me, such as walking, running, stretching, or dancing.
Health and Well-Being
Enjoy Fruits and Veggies
Adding fruits and vegetables to our meals nourishes our body and the planet. I will prepare and enjoy 5 servings of a variety of colorful fruits and veggies.
Wildlife
Learn to Be a Responsible Pet Owner
Being a responsible pet owner means minimizing the impact pets have on wildlife by keeping them indoors, never setting them 'free' into nature, and supervising pets when they are outside to prevent them from hunting or disturbing wild animals. This also keeps our pets safe from harm. I will spend 30 minutes learning about ways to ensure my pet’s behavior and care practices protect local wildlife and their ecosystems.

REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingHow did exercising each day impact your physical or mental well-being? What activity did you enjoy most, and why?
Katy Assad 4/27/2025 10:36 AMCommitting to exercise has been tough but rewarding. On the days I don't feel like working out or moving, I have tried to push myself to even go for a short walk or do stretches. I always feel better after being physically active, and I have found that my mental well-being/mental health has improved as I take better care of my body. This has shown me the strong connection between body and mind. I hope that as time goes on, I can continue to push myself to exercise and strengthen my body on the days I don't feel like it. I really enjoyed going on walks in the sunshine, and exploring new trails around my house. I also loved weight lifting because it makes me feel strong and reminds me to be thankful of having a body that can move, lift and carry weight. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth and Well-BeingHow does eating more fruits and vegetables and less meat positively affect yourself, other people, and our planet? What fruits or vegetables did you try this week, and which was your favorite?
Katy Assad 4/05/2025 10:30 AMEating more fruits and veggies has given me more energy. My mind feels clearer, and my body feels better overall. I have less chronic pain, and my body feels stronger. Eating less meat is not only healthy for me, but it helps the environment. By consuming less animal products, I am decreasing the demand which helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions. -
Katy Assad 4/02/2025 7:44 AMI have been on vacation in Miami and I have found it surprisingly easier to meet my goals because there is a wider variety of fruits and vegetables here. When going out to eat, the main items on the menus have been fresh produce with lots of veggies and fruit.
