    It taught them just how biodiverse our environment is, and how to help save our plants by getting rid of non-native invasive species.

    Schools can play a huge leadership role in shaping future environmental leaders. By offering classes like Environmental Science, students can learn about the negative effects of humans on our natural environment and howe we can help to save it.

    I learned that sandbags are a very effective way to protect your home against natural disasters like floods and tsunamis.

    I replaced regular apples with organic fuji apples. They even taste like they have less preservatives and toxic chemicals. I feel great

    I had two servings of fruit and two servings of veggies every day last week. I ate lots of dried mango and fresh bananas/apples/strawberries. For veggies, I learned that I really don't like brussel sprouts, so I stuck to my favorites - broccoli and cauliflower.

    When driving I emit the most carbon. I am going to carpool and ride my bike more to avoid this.

    I found cigarette butts scattered around the PB community, which wasn't necessarily surprising, but there were just so many. They were one of the most common items I found. It felt good to pick up trash with my friends and family

      Cigarette butts take so long to break down. That’s so unfortunate to hear that people are littering them all over.

      during a beach clean-up that I did last year, cigarette butts were the most prevalent litter.

    By hand washing all of my dishes, I realised that it really doesn't take that much water or work to sanitise plates and bowls. I also noticed that showering is a huge waste of water, especially when I spend more than 5 minutes washing myself.

      turn off the water flow while shampooing and soaping - just use it to rinse. You'll cut water use dramatically.

    I chose to support the Humane Society. I believe they some amazing things in our community, and are actively saving the lives of dogs, cats, and other helpless animals without homes.

      many people do not know that Humane Society also works to protect farm animals and wildlie, too.
