Participant Feed

Reflection, encouragement, and relationship building are all important aspects of getting a new habit to stick.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
    Education & Livelihood Work-Life Balance
How does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?

Our physical and spiritual body is like a flower and we have to take good care of them. Balancing work and life is one important point for this good care. Otherwise high percentage of work may turn us to a robot, or high percentage of life may cause us to lose an important tool and talent for living. That's why placing some small activities into the working duration increases my creativity in work and prevents my body from claiming to me.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Basic Needs & Security Take 5-Minute Or Less Showers
With 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?

    Eray AKYILDIZ's avatar
    Eray AKYILDIZ 4/19/2023 4:06 AM
I reduced the flow rate of water by closing the water valve down to an acceptable level and by that way I reduced the water consumption in my home.

I saved energy by preferring non-iron shirt at office to support sustainability. I will try do this at least 50% of my days at office. I hope other colleagues will join me with this action.

I joined to this challenge activity because I always believed that, nature will not be inherited from us to our children, but instead we borrowed it from our children. That is why it is very important to prevent unnecessary waste of resources and everyone should feel and understand the responsibility. On the other hand, most of these actions in this challenge activity are good for our health!

It feels much better when I save energy by preferring non-iron clothes. On the other hand non-iron clothes are more comfortable and makes me feel free. Generally we need suits during customer meetings but I am sure customers and everyone would also understand, accept and implement this behavior if it can be explained with the perception of saving the earth.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Basic Needs & Security Reduce Animal Product Consumption
What was the tastiest meatless or vegan meal you ever had or had recently? Did you make it? Can you share a recipe?

My vegan meal at lunch is eating only one big red apple which has a recipe created by nature. It is not the tastiest but tasty and makes me feel comfortable and better during day time when compared to a menu with full of fast food.
