I have been trying to reduce single use plastics through out our home. Utilizing shampoo and conditioner bars, dishwasher tablets, deodorant refills in paper containers, reusable paper towels / napkins and lunch bags. It's amazing how little steps add up.

Working my way to a meatless diet. My family is learning as well. We often have a veggie only dinner, and the kids have really enjoyed all the new flavors. The impact on our selves and the planet are too high - we need to change this locally and globally.

It's probably not "fair," but I've been walking and hiking every day for a week about 10 miles a day.  EcoChallenge caps the time you can log at 180 minutes....that's ok because I'm moving more to move the spirit than as a form of transportation.

I didn't know eggs were dated from the day they are packed....Jan 1 would be 001 and so forth.  So you can figure out how long ago they were actually packed.  Cool!

I found some reusable silicone pouches that help me eliminate the plastic bags I use to use.  They seem easy to clean and haven't accumulated any smells... but I haven't put an onion in them yet.  That will be the true test, right? I also got the reusable lids which seem to fit every bowl easily.  You can find them here:  https://earthsider.com/

Vegetable bags - I could replace it with reusable produce bags.
