Today I went to my final clay class at my university and saw a bunch of trash on the way from the parking lot to the clay studio.  On the way back to my car after class, I picked up all the trash along my path, about 4 grocery bags worth of discarded food and beverage items.  I hope that university students will learn that the campus is shared...

This morning I could leave my house after the buses were done so I walked to work.  It was a nice walk, not too hot and a gentle breeze.

It is a gorgeous day today so I rode my bike in to work.  Hoping to eat outside for dinner tonight too.

Tomorrow is Earth Day and it is GLSEN's Day of Silence.  I am taking a vow of silence and making terrariums with my Bio 2 students after their photosynthesis quiz. These terrariums will replace the ones I made previously before the COVID pandemic, and will stay in the science center upstairs lobby.

Today in our advisory group MFW, I shared that my high school nickname was THE RECYCLE QUEEN and how I used to sneak recyclables home from my dorm room in college to recycle at the recycling center in Havertown, since at the time Drexel did not recycle.  I was sneaky and loaded it into my suitcase.  My roommate ratted me out to my mom.

Today I went over to the hardware store to prepare for my bio 2 labs this week.  Picked up supplies to make terrariums with my classes.  My labs are all prepped and ready to go.  It's perfect as we are learning about photosynthesis this week.  Students will be able to dissect a leaf and see the stomata in action under the microscope.
