    St Pete FL's water comes from another county because we're on a peninsula. My home is on "high" ground but not far from Tampa Bay if a hurricane came along. I have a few water barrels and a rain garden that the gutters feed.

    Sharing books with friends is a favorite activity. As to borrowing rather than buying, I consulted with my local Ace Hardware store and learned I could rent a wallpaper steamer rather than buying one. I however simply used vinegar and water spray and was able to remove the wallpaper safely and efficiently.

    Spending time outside seems to create a great deal more peace within me. I enjoy focusing on the many changes that take place during early spring time. Mother nature does not seem to need me there, but I feel I need to be with mother nature.

    The snow plowing/salting service our church hires, uses excessive salting, which is a problem for storm water runoff and over salinity to local waterways. My family has gotten permission from our Church Facilities Manager to call the provider of this service, and discuss the need to change salting practices.

    It's everywhere, and sometimes you just don't notice. I've learned that you should NOT heat plastic so I don't microwave with it. Well, most coffee makers are made with alot of plastic! How did I miss that? I'm going to the thrift store for a French press coffee maker - glass & metal.

    When I carpool, walk or ride a bus, I'm more involved & engaged in the drive/ride. There's more of a connection with the fellow walkers, riders. I notice and enjoy the outdoors too.
