    The most fun and joyful way I have seen others share their positive sustainability actions and habits is on YouTube, watching how to make your own compost or how to grow your own vegetables.

    I thought these would be easy. I chose goals that I’m already naturally interested in. But these emails that prompt me to check in with my goals … surprises me that days have gone by and I haven’t done the things I thought I would do anyway.

    I haven’t used before but am excited to install in my new kitchen. The two key decision factors for me were environmental - reducing fossil fuel dependence, and health - improving the air quality in my home.

    Extreme heat with number of dangerous days with a heat index above 105 quadrupling by 2030. Humidity, poor air quality, and mosquito season also increasing. St. Louis is also projected to get more rain/snow in the winter months - leading to more risk of inland flooding, and more drought in the summer months - increasing risk of wildfires. I...

    Already doing: Capturing water in the shower as it warms up. Using for toilets and watering patio pots. Want to improve: garden water use. Reworking drip system to improve coverage and eliminate or reduce hand watering (more wasteful)  and assessing which plants no longer need watering as frequently.
