Almost the end of Earth Month!  I am working to continue being Earth friendly in all that I do.  Plastics make me crazy so am determined to change my habits regarding buying products with excess plastic packaging (and prefer no plastic).  Until the Covid thing winds down though, even Earth Friendly businesses have tumbled back in time and are using plastic containers.  I hope this changes quickly along with all the plastic gloves I am seeing in the streets and the need for them.  Thanks to all who participated in this venture and may you continue your efforts!  It is so important as are all of us individually!
Have you heard of "Who Gives a Crap" toilet paper, paper towels, etc?  This is an online no plastic ecofriendly business, paper comes from bamboo and they donate 50% of profits improving sanitation and building toilets in developing countries).  Check it out!   us.whogivesacrap.org

Moved and living in a small one bedroom apartment...this allows new opportunities.  A relaxed lifestyle with more attention to what I eat.  I planted a small patio basket with chard and rosemary alongside my other outdoor plants.  I love to watch things grow and know this is a small thing to do; however, it is part of taking care of myself and the Earth.  :)

Back to my plant-forward meal prep this week, after a weekend of BBQ's!  Love the daily actions to keep me on track.
  • Reflection Question
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

Healthier eating, paying attention to how much I eat. Better to go back for more food than mindlessly eat everything on the plate

This is such a great world community project...I hope our participation brings new life to some of those places on our planet that need the most help!
