I regularly donate food. It just didn't happen this month.

I watched two short documentaries: 1 - about the dark side of the dairy industry and 2 - about food waste due to misinformation/misunderstandings around food expiration dates. 1 - This was very difficult to watch but important to understand the realities of how the dairy industry operates. There were a lot of harsh lessons: things I knew but...

Today, I want to share my beautiful garden. I am currently growing tomatoes, potatoes, cilantro, lettuce, limes, onion (red and white), artichokes, mint, grapes, celery, strawberries, and blueberries. My garden grows in abundance, so whatever my husband and I can't consume, we share with our family and friends. We are also part of a FB page...

I watched 'Stonewall Out Loud', a documentary that takes audio recordings of activists from the Stonewall riot in 1969 and has queer celebrities from today lip-sync and reenact the words while adding commentary. Participants include musician Lance Bass and actor husband Michael Turchin, actor/TV personality Jeffrey Bowyer Chapman, comedian...

Through Liz's presentation, I learned the core concepts of behavior change is: Connect - Discover - Change. Are my daily routines adding or taking away from the environment? I can use reusable cups for water, coffee, and other beverages. This is one simple change I can make to help the environment. Also, I learned that changing your behavior is...

I learned that there are a lot more things i do that are helping the environment.

I live in a very densely populated neighborhood across the street from a public park in a low-income area, which are truly ripe conditions for constant litter. On an almost daily basis I pick up at least a few pieces of trash that have been intentionally littered, have escaped from a trash bag ripped open by a squirrel, or something that hasn't...

I learned that Emerson drives innovation which makes the world a better place.

Impoverishment of resources & means to acquire resources, along with a goal to end such limits was a linking factor across the SDG groups. In one example, I can't end poverty but I try to help by way of giving of my time & resources either in person or through charity.
