    NYC advises that people do not eat local fish caught as they can contain contaminants / chemicals. I do eat fish regularly, but I buy frozen fish from the grocery store or order fish as a meal for dinner at restaurants. Hence, my fish consumption does not conflict with the NYC advisory.     Today I conducted a waste audit and realized I produced a lot of recyclables and compostables through my daily life. This is better than sending items to the landfill; however, I still want to reduce my overall waste production. I will do this by being more mindful about the items I buy and keeping their respective lifespans top of mind.
