May 2 at 2:42 AMThere are so many small actions we can take, that add up to substantial change. Working together is the key to success.

April 30 at 6:26 PMI created more sustainable habits slowly. I focused on one area at a time, like reducing plastic in my bathroom, or reducing my meat consumption, or paying more attention to how much electricity I used, and let each habit sink in before starting a new one. That way, I wasn't overwhelmed with a lot of change at once.
-
April 29 at 8:49 PMMy 25th eco habit is to use reusable feminine hygiene products. This is another swap that I've made to reduce my single-use plastic usage.
-
April 29 at 12:01 PMIt's been a cold, drizzly day so not outside as much as usual but we still took our daily walk. One of the ways to save miles instead of driving is to combine trips and walk to the store instead of driving.
-
April 29 at 11:58 AMIt's been fun to discover some new areas around us - I've been picking a different path to walk each day
-
April 28 at 7:54 PMMy 24th eco habit is recycling! Since I'm new to the area, I've only been able to find convenient paper recycling, but have saved my cans (obviously for Cans for Corridors), bottles, and plastics to recycle once I figure out where...
-
April 28 at 9:23 AMIt's still too cold to plant, BUT I did expand my raised garden by reusing dirt and some wood from a poorly placed raised bed that I made in 2020. (It never got enough sun due to my neighbor's tree) I added an extra 7' of length bringing it to 13' long by 4' wide!
-
April 27 at 6:24 PMEco habit #23 piggybacks off of my last one. To go with my more sustainable dish soap, I use more sustainable dish cloths. I mainly use old wash cloths, but also coconut husk scrubbers for those hard, stuck-on messes. They're all over Amazon, and most of home compostable when you're done with them! No more plastic sponges!
-
April 27 at 5:25 AMSpent 2.5hrs walking the park fence line yesterday, even though it was work it was nice to be out in nature for a moment. I saw a few different critters, but sadly a large amount of invasive too.
-
April 26 at 7:30 PMWe're in the last week! My 22nd eco habit was switching out dishwashing soap in a plastic bottle for solid dishwashing bars. I get mine from Sheets (Handcrafted Solid Dish Soap | Sheets Laundry Club). One bar usually lasts me 2-3 months, and comes in paper packaging.
