Made 3 salads in a jar. It's such a wonderful way to spend the time making salad at once, then eat on it for a few days. I've been so successful with that process.

Tomorrow is May Day. Today we planted some kale and spinach in the garden. Our earth. Critical.

    Hello,
I listened this AM to 1A on NPR about the clothing industry. All might find this conversation important.

David Attenborough says, "Rewind the world. Our journey must be guided by a new philosophy or more accurately - a return to an old philosophy." 2020, A life on our Planet
Yvon Chouinard in 180degrees South says, "Turn around and take a step forward."
Maybe these two gentlemen have a point!

I have been having a wonderful time making Salads in a Jar. I have done a pasta salad and green salad. They last several days in the refrigerator (although we eat them before they could go bad!) and taking the time to make 3-4 of them makes the week's salad making super easy. What a great idea!
Also, I am successful at making a non-meat dinner 2-3 times a week. Not an issue for us as meat is not vital to our daily intake!

WE watched Just Eat IT. Absolutely a great look at food waste. Gave us a talking platform to chat about how we do with our waste, which we compost or eat!

Received first utility bill since solar panels became operational. The first week without them we used as much electricity as the three weeks with them. Have had up to 37 kwh in a day generated from the panels. Working with the utility and the panel company to make sure all that is generated is being contributed to our account.

Watched the film Kiss the Ground yesterday about regenerative agriculture. Lots of good information.
Today, rather than drive to the airport, we are catching three buses and one light rail to get there.
Finally got the mason bees out today. Still a little cool but was told the bees would be getting hungry and need to be released. Supposed to warm up while we are gone for the next week.

Earth Day I am driving my gas powered car to an Earth Day celebration in the larger town close to me. Taking a friend. But, today I picked up garbage and recycle on the 1.5 miles near my house. The snow is melting so more it starting to show.
