  • Reflection Question
Health & Equity Spend Time Outside
What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

We start to lose our culture and who we are when we don't spend time with others. Our identity gets lost without the context of others and the greater world.
  • Reflection Question
    Health & Equity Practice Mindfulness
What was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?

I need to do this more often! The grounding exercise is so useful and helps a lot.
  • Reflection Question
Health & Equity Support Indigenous & First Nations Communities
Why is it important to honor native and indigenous peoples and cultures? What have you learned that is important to you? If you identify with or are a member of an indigenous group, how does your community practice sustainability?

I've always been fascinated by Indigenous peoples. I think there's much that we can learn and adapt to our everyday life, as well as much we can do to help the next generation of Indigenous peoples learn and love their cultures. I'd like to explore the fusion of different Indigenous cuisines with mainstream cuisines as a way of developing a channel for communication and discussion.

I'd like to switch to renewable energy for our home but am concerned about scams. I can do more research to identify legitimate ways to switch.

Shop online less, although it is very convenient. Our direct water use is already very low, and we're teaching our daughter to be careful with waste and consumption. I can eat less meat to reduce my water consumption.
