I buy all my fruit, veg and eggs from the local farm.  They only grow seasonal fruit and veg, which reduces the amount of energy required to grow out of season produce.  They deliver once a week in one reusable cardboard box = no individually wrapped packaging at all.  And because they deliver, we get the added bonus of decreasing the amount of cars on the road, as they drop off the boxes to neighbours on their route through the village.
