Vishal Kumar's actions
Basic Needs & Security
Make Zero-Waste Meals
SDG 2
I will cook 2 meals with zero waste each day.
Basic Needs & Security
Reduce Animal Product Consumption
SDG 2
One kilogram of beef and cheese emits 71kg and 24kg of greenhouse gasses, while 1kg of rice, grains, and legumes emits between 2-4kg. Fruits, vegetables, and nuts emit less than 1kg per 1kg. I will reduce my climate impact by enjoying 2 meatless meals and/or 0 vegan meals each day this week.
Basic Needs & Security
Calculate Your Water Footprint
SDG 6
I will calculate my water footprint and look for a few ways I can reduce consumption or waste.
Education & Livelihood
Work-Life Balance
SDG 8
During the workday, I will schedule time for daily breaks during work days to practice work-life balance.
Education & Livelihood
Stay on the Ground
SDG 11
Instead of traveling by plane, I will find an alternative way to accomplish the goals of an upcoming trip (i.e. telepresence, vacation locally). As an example, a plane from New York to Los Angeles (~2,450 miles) generates about 65 tons of carbon dioxide.
Health & Equity
Spend Time Outside
SDG 3
I will replace 30 minute(s) per day typically spent inside (computer time, watching television, etc.) with quality time outside exercising, enjoying the sunrise/sunset, gardening, journaling, or practicing gratitude for nature.
Economy & Communities
Analyze Your Utility Bills
SDG 7
I spend 15 minutes analyzing my recent utility bills, which might include electricity, gas, or water to see what my current usage is and determine if I can reduce my energy and water use.
Climate & Ecosystems
Drive Less
SDG 13
To reduce CO2 emissions each day, I will cut my car trip mileage by only taking necessary trips.
Climate & Ecosystems
Watch a Documentary About Climate Change or Nature
SDG 13, 14, 15
I will watch 1 documentaries about climate change.

Vishal Kumar Vaghela 4/27/2023 8:02 PMI planned to buy car and i was focused that whatever i plan to buy, it must have CNG option available. Cars transport lead to lots of pollution but atleast with CNG option, i can contribute my small part.-
Vineet Borse 4/28/2023 2:55 AMRightly said! CNG option is still a good choice at an affordable price

Buy products with clean ingredients, and products that protect habitats and biodiversity. Buy fair trade as well as brands supporting inclusive and equitable products, policies and causes. Buy less and buy long lasting products. Reduce single-use items and purchase durable, reusable products instead of disposable ones. -

Building a sustainable future begins with developing a healthy relationship with our environment. -
Vishal Kumar Vaghela 4/25/2023 8:47 PMHuman activities are changing Earth's climate, causing increasingly disruptive societal and ecological impacts. Such impacts are creating hardships and suffering now, and they will continue to do so into the future - in ways expected as well as potentially unforeseen.
Now is the time to act before it is too late.-
Ajay Patidar 4/25/2023 8:53 PMimmediate action we can take now is to avoid wastage of water wherever we can.

Environmental benefits include reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills and combustion facilities; conserving natural resources, such as timber, water and minerals; and preventing pollution by reducing the need to collect new raw materials. -
Vishal Kumar Vaghela 4/23/2023 9:01 PMThere is no such thing as 'away'. When we throw anything away it must go somewhere.” “When you put the whole picture together, recycling is the right thing to do.” “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them. -
Vishal Kumar Vaghela 4/22/2023 7:58 AMFollow your goals honestly which may be then converted to habbit. -
Vishal Kumar Vaghela 4/22/2023 7:55 AMRun towards saving the environment before we have to run towards survival battle. -
