It is important to be respected, to be seen and to reduce feelings of isolation.
  • Reflection Question
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

Smaller portions can also help with healthy eating and weight management.

I have to give myself a lot of reminders for mindful eating, but it is worth it. I enjoy what I eat more and I am more aware of how much and how quickly I eat.

As it is getting warmer, I notice more people are out walking.  It is nice to see more of my neighbours and check in.  My walks have been mostly on roads lately and I am looking forward to getting out on some of the local trails soon.

Each time I go for a walk or hike, I think about how lucky I am to live in Dufferin County. There are always new places to explore and sites to see!

Hi Vicki!  I totally agree.  I am SO grateful to live in Dufferin and have beautiful places to walk outside of my door.  I do see more people out connecting with nature which is awesome!  I've also noticed garbage popping up now that the snow has melted, so I carry a bag to pick it up when I'm on my daily walks.
