Uma receitinha que eu amo :)

Espaguete de abobrinha com molho de tomate

    Ingredientes:
    • 1 kilogram De abobrinha italiana
    • 1 Cebola roxa picada

Getting outside and gardening can do more than just provide some physical activity and produce food for the table; it can be beneficial for the mind as well.

While there are many functional benefits of gardening and the inherent ways in which plants improve quality of life, experts at Texas A&M AgriLife say that one particularly important aspect is how plants improve a person's mental health and overall outlook.

“As many people already knew and others have discovered during the pandemic, plant-related hobbies such as gardening provide an opportunity to enjoy nature and give one a more positive outlook on life,” said Charles Hall, Professor and Ellison Chair in Floriculture. International in the Department of Horticultural Sciences, College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Bryan-College Station.

Hall has done extensive research on how plants and gardening can improve physical and mental health.

Hall's research, presented in an article published in the Journal of Environmental Horticulture, describes the myriad psychological benefits of plants and the activity of gardening in several categories. These benefits include:

    Anxiety and stress reduction.
    Attention Deficit Recovery.
    Decreased depression.
    Improved memory retention.
Increased happiness and satisfaction with life.
    PTSD mitigation.
    Increased creativity, productivity and attention.
    Reduced effects of dementia.
    Improved self-esteem.

Hall said the pandemic was partly responsible for a surge in interest in gardening as more people got involved in household activities.

The use of disposable cups, such as plastic cups, contribute to the accumulation of plastic waste in the world.

I have a water bottle and a reusable cup at Emerson, avoiding the use of disposable cups in the office!
