So far earth month has been good! The goals I chose were a lot more achievable than I originally thought and I'm glad that I've been able to keep up with this all month.

I watched 2040, which is a documentary about what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we simply embrace the best solutions already available to us to improve our planet and shift them rapidly into the mainstream. Very illuminating (pun intended)!

I watched Water on the Table a few weeks back. It's about how the consumption of water has become a global issue. As the world population grows, the demand for water increases. The film Water on the Table explores the water crisis from the perspective of different continents. The documentary gives a voice to the millions of people who face a daily struggle to obtain water. The film also investigates the causes and effects of the water crisis, from global corporations to the impact of climate change. Determined to change the situation, communities around the world are fighting for water justice.

  • REFLECTION QUESTION
Climate & Ecosystems Collect Litter on a Plog / Plalk
What was your experience like plogging, or engaging in another way to collect litter while being outside? Was there any item you collected that was unusual that you found?

This past month's plogging has been a very interesting experience. I find myself more conscious of my surroundings which is actually benefitting me more on my runs. Nothing I found was too strange, but I have noticed that most of the things I've picked up have been plastic grocery bags.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

How does working with others to clean up your community make you feel?

Cleaning up the community is crucial for promoting a healthy and safe environment for everyone. When the community is clean, it reduces the risk of illnesses, injuries, and accidents. A clean community also promotes a sense of pride and ownership, which can lead to increased community engagement and social cohesion.
