REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & Security Watch a Documentary About Food, Water, or Basic NeedsWhat did you watch, and what was the most important thing you learned in the documentaries you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of climate change and Earth Month?
Josephine Oldaker 4/24/2023 8:58 AMI watched Water on the Table a few weeks back. It's about how the consumption of water has become a global issue. As the world population grows, the demand for water increases. The film Water on the Table explores the water crisis from the perspective of different continents. The documentary gives a voice to the millions of people who face a daily struggle to obtain water. The film also investigates the causes and effects of the water crisis, from global corporations to the impact of climate change. Determined to change the situation, communities around the world are fighting for water justice. -
Josephine Oldaker 4/24/2023 8:52 AMHope everyone had a great Earth Day on Saturday!! -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & Ecosystems Collect Litter on a Plog / PlalkWhat was your experience like plogging, or engaging in another way to collect litter while being outside? Was there any item you collected that was unusual that you found?
Josephine Oldaker 4/21/2023 10:21 AMThis past month's plogging has been a very interesting experience. I find myself more conscious of my surroundings which is actually benefitting me more on my runs. Nothing I found was too strange, but I have noticed that most of the things I've picked up have been plastic grocery bags. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & Livelihood Host or Join a Cleanup EventHow does working with others to clean up your community make you feel?
Josephine Oldaker 4/21/2023 10:18 AMCleaning up the community is crucial for promoting a healthy and safe environment for everyone. When the community is clean, it reduces the risk of illnesses, injuries, and accidents. A clean community also promotes a sense of pride and ownership, which can lead to increased community engagement and social cohesion.
