Economy & Communities
Choose Clean/Renewable Energy
SDG 7
I will contact my energy company to find out how to sign up for my utility company's clean/renewable energy option.
Climate & Ecosystems
Explore My Area
SDG 14, 15
Each day, I will spend 10 minutes exploring a new area around my neighborhood (e.g., park, water body, nearby trail, community garden, green space, etc.).
Climate & Ecosystems
Calculate Your Carbon Impact
SDG 13
I will calculate the carbon emissions associated with my household and consider how lifestyle changes could reduce the carbon footprint and impacts on the environment.
Climate & Ecosystems
Watch a Documentary About Climate Change or Nature
SDG 13, 14, 15
I will watch 2 documentaries about climate change.
Economy & Communities
Watch a Documentary About Economy, Energy, or Industry
SDG 7, 9, 12
I will watch 2 documentaries about economy, energy, or industry.
Economy & Communities
Carry My Trash
SDG 12
I will carry all of my unrecyclable, non-compostable trash with me each day to raise my awareness of how much waste I produce.
Economy & Communities
Create A Readiness Plan
SDG 9
Each day, I will spend time developing a readiness plan for my household in the event of an emergency.
Economy & Communities

Reflection QuestionHealth & Equity Watch a Documentary About Equity, Gender, Health, or PeaceWhat did you watch, and what was the most important thing you learned in the documentaries you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of climate change and Earth Month?
Jared Mudachi 4/30/2023 6:37 PMI watched a documentary called 8 Billion Angels, which focuses on how Earth's growing population and demand for resources outweighs nature's ability to provide. This is a great watch and I highly recommend! My overall takeaway is that we must conserve Earth's finite resources and develop ways for our growing population to live sustainably. -
Jared Mudachi 4/30/2023 6:31 PMI hope everyone had a great last day of Earth Month and the EcoChallenge!! -
Jared Mudachi 4/29/2023 6:24 AMI hope everyone has a great day! -
Reflection QuestionEducation & Livelihood Stay on the GroundWhat was your process like for restructuring your trip? How can you avoid more air travel in the future?
Jared Mudachi 4/28/2023 12:55 PMI recently planned a staycation with my family in NJ. Instead of flying to another location/state, we decided we would enjoy the warm weather and go on some outdoor adventures. Tomorrow we are going fishing and on Sunday we will go on a hike at a state park! -
Jared Mudachi 4/28/2023 12:52 PMHappy Friday! I hope you enjoy the weekend. ;) -

Reflection QuestionEconomy & Communities Choose Clean/Renewable EnergyHow might you be able to get others involved in advocating for the clean energy shift?
Jared Mudachi 4/24/2023 1:37 PMI could help get others involved in advocating for the clean energy shift by showing them the harms of fossil fuels, the damage to the atmosphere (i.e., greater carbon output), and how fossil fuels expedite global warming. -
Jared Mudachi 4/24/2023 1:33 PMI hope everyone is having a great start to the week!-

Reflection QuestionHealth & Equity Make Cleaning ProductsWhat was surprising about the ingredients in your cleaning supplies, personal care, and pet products?
Jared Mudachi 4/23/2023 12:32 PMInstead of ordering cleaning products, I did some research to create cleaning products from items I already own. This is not only sustainable (since I am reusing/repurposing items), but also saves you money!-
Allison Kuhn 4/25/2023 10:09 AMLove creating your own cleaning products! So wonderful!!!
