  • Reflection Question
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Mulch the Base of Trees and Plants
Name some of the human activities impacting the health of water systems, both locally (your watershed) and globally (freshwater and oceans). What can you do to improve the health of water systems?

garbage, plastic, new construction and roads.  I can educate my family.
  • Reflection Question

    Sandi Morales 4/14/2021 10:21 AM
We just installed the tank bank and would never have heard about it if it wasn't for this challenge so thank you.  I also read about conserving water and checked my water meter and found a leak, which I immediately report.
  • Reflection Question
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Eat Mindfully
Mindful eating is healthier for us than eating with distractions. How does your eating experience differ when practicing mindfulness?

    Sandi Morales's avatar
    Sandi Morales 4/08/2021 5:42 PM
I actually enjoy my food more.
  • Reflection Question
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Smaller Portions
While dishing food out, we tend to load our plates with more than we need. Using smaller plates helps to mitigate this. Aside from the environmental benefits, what other benefits might come from eating/serving smaller portions?

    Sandi Morales's avatar
    Sandi Morales 4/08/2021 5:41 PM
By using smaller plates I am not overeating.
  • Reflection Question
Food, Agriculture, and Land Use Learn the Truth About Expiration Dates
How does knowing the difference between use by, sell by, and best by dates empower you to make better decisions?

    Sandi Morales's avatar
    Sandi Morales 4/08/2021 5:39 PM
I won't waste food by throwing it out because the best by date has passed and I will be sure to move older items to the front of the pantry.
  • Reflection Question
Transportation Go for a Daily Walk
What have you noticed on your daily walks? What have you enjoyed? What infrastructure changes could make your walks more enjoyable or possible?
