REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & Equity Practice MindfulnessWhat was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?
Cierra McKenzie 4/05/2023 6:13 AMMy mind is never quiet, so I find it difficult to practice mindfulness. I have small children, a house that needs managing, and work that needs to be done. I'm always thinking at least 10 minutes or even 10 days in the future. I hope to learn to be present through this mindfulness practice. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & Livelihood Work-Life BalanceHow does practicing a work-life balance create a more sustainable life for you? How might it contribute to sustainability more broadly?
Cierra McKenzie 4/05/2023 6:09 AMPracticing a work-life balance creates peace and allows me to be satisfied in my daily life and not live for the weekend. I can find happiness in my daily life and not only two days per week. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & Equity Spend Time OutsideWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?
Cierra McKenzie 4/03/2023 11:59 AMSpending too much time indoors could hurt your mental health, especially if that time inside is spent looking at a screen. Getting outside is good for you in so many different ways!
