REFLECTION QUESTIONEducation & Livelihood Share Your Eco HabitsHow do you create new sustainability-related habits or change bad habits?
Ryan Logrieco 4/28/2023 12:41 PMThe first step in changing bad habits is understanding what bad habits you are doing! So programs like this Earth Month EcoChallenge and being a part of the Green Team promotes idea sharing and helps me understand what bad habits I am doing! First step is accepting you can improve and then you can make changes appropriately -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & Ecosystems Watch a Documentary About Climate Change or NatureWhat did you watch, and what was the most important thing you learned in the documentary(ies) you watched? How does what you learned connect to your understanding of climate change and Earth Month?
Ryan Logrieco 4/26/2023 10:02 AMI watched Game Changers and it talked about the environmental benefits of going to a vegan diet and it made a big impact on me. It helped me better understand how the food choices I make effect the environment around me-
Allison Kuhn 4/26/2023 3:28 PMI have been wanting to watch game changers. I don't know if I could ever go vegan, but it's something I've always wanted to try. Very cool!

REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & Ecosystems Calculate Your Carbon ImpactWhat is one way you will reduce your carbon footprint? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your carbon footprint?
Ryan Logrieco 4/19/2023 8:47 AMUsing fan instead of AC during day/night, don't drive (helps that I live in NYC), actively reusing items instead or throwing out and buying new -
REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & Communities Choose LED BulbsChanging lightbulbs is an excellent first step toward energy efficiency! What's next for you?
Ryan Logrieco 4/18/2023 8:59 AMWorking to utilize hand washing vs. dishwasher more, sealing up gaps and better adjustment of thermostat. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONClimate & Ecosystems Choose Sustainable Seafood OptionsWhat was the tastiest sustainable seafood meal you ever had or had recently? Did you make it? Can you share a recipe?
Ryan Logrieco 4/18/2023 8:57 AMThe best one I had was at Seamore's restaurant! Unfortunately, I can't make food that tasty just yet. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & Security Calculate Your Water FootprintWhat is one way you will reduce your water use? What is a practice you already have that helps you reduce your water use?
Ryan Logrieco 4/06/2023 5:40 AM3 minute showers has been one way I've always tried to minimize my water waste. My sophomore HS teacher mentioned it as something she did and it made an impact me so I've continued to do it. It really isn't that difficult and you have more time for other things when you shower quickly. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONBasic Needs & Security Try a New Vegan or Vegetarian RecipeWhat was the dish you made, and how did it turn out? What did it feel like to try a new recipe? If you can share a picture, please do!
Ryan Logrieco 4/06/2023 5:38 AMJust made a Mediterranean salad and it was delicious! I've always been a person whose thought meat was the only way to get protein but I've been learning about all the other protein-rich foods that can provide the nutrition you'd usually get from meat.-
Jared Mudachi 4/06/2023 8:00 PMThis is awesome Ryan! I also try to incorporate nonmeat protein within my diet as much as possible, such as quinoa and plant-based protein for shakes/smoothies.

REFLECTION QUESTIONEconomy & Communities Carry My TrashWhat one thing will you do right away to reduce your waste? What is the second thing you will do?
Ryan Logrieco 4/06/2023 5:36 AMI recently did a spring cleaning where I took a lot of the clothing I hadn't worn for 6+ months and donated them to a Goodwill. Instead of throwing these items out, I hope someone else will get use out of them and thereby minimize overall waste. -
REFLECTION QUESTIONHealth & Equity Spend Time OutsideWhat are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?
Ryan Logrieco 4/06/2023 5:35 AMI think the biggest negative of the indoor screen time is the lack of social interactions which will negatively effect happiness levels in the future.-
Jane Chong 4/06/2023 9:03 AMHey Ryan - we meet again :-)
