Does anybody else buy laundry detergent in pouches to refill those thick plastic jugs the detergent comes in? It saves a bit of plastic, and it saves money. Another laundry soap alternative I use is laundry sheets, which is soap without liquid.

We decided to drive to Montana instead of flying. It took longer to get there, but it gave us more flexibility in the long run. Plus, we had high quality time to spend together just talking and sharing our lives.

We have already insulated the attic, insulated around windows, insulated walls when remodeling, and changed light fixtures to low energy fixtures. We installed a heat pump system. Insulating the crawl space would help and will be a next step.

Do not overwater the lawn. Plant low water usage plants. Build a small, compact raised garden bed for fresh vegetables without excess water consumption. Use a high efficiency washer.

Insulating our crawl space would conserve energy and keep our floors warmer.
