"I have the privilege of not being affected by climate change on a daily basis and being able to make decisions that help or hurt those around me. Climate change is affecting species and organisms throughout the planet but it's also worsening problems we think of as uniquely human. I want to be a part of a network that is actively fighting against this, not passively standing by. If you can, please join me!"

In my Biology class today we learned all about streams and different sections of them and it was very very cool.

I highly recommend you check out these easy-to-understand articles/graphics about streams!!
^^this one is not easy to understand, but I liked it anyways so I included it :)

We had a GREAT Green New Deal fair today and got about 30 more people to write letters to Sharrod Brown, an Ohio democratic senator, pushing for affordable, reliable, and clean energy based public transit in both Ohio and nationally. These letters will be compiled with letters from the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Columbus, Kenyon, and Case Western Sunrise hubs and delivered to Sharrod Brown's office in Cleveland on April 7th. I think between all the hubs we have a few hundred letters and we (Oberlin Sunrise) are looking forward to more partnerships and events throughout this Spring and beyond advocating for and convincing those in power to support the Green New Deal. Thank you to everyone on this team who both wrote letters and came out to support and learn about the GND today!!

    Hi, all!
Happy day 1 of April! I just wanted to thank you all again for participating and contributing to this team (whether that be physical actions, active learning, reaching out to those in power, donating to organizations that actively practive sustainability, organizing and gathering participation, sharing stories, etc.). If you click on the "Impacts" button in the top right corner, you can see the impact that everyone involved in the challenge, our team, or you as an individual have had (or will have) throughout the month. Also, just a reminder not to burn yourself out in the beginning! Habits form after 21 days, so doing less every day may be more impactful than trying to do everything in the beginning. Finally, I've heard that the website is confusing for many people. If you have any questions please reach out or click the arrow next to resources in the top right corner and there are many tutorials/guides to help. Thank you thank you again! This makes me so excited !! :)
