  • Reflection Question
Coastal, Ocean, and Engineered Sinks Learn about Biochar
Can biochar provide additional benefits besides sequestering carbon?

    Cassie Hearn 4/11/2021 9:06 AM
Yes! Biochar can help enhance food growth and production, which means more people around the world have access to more food. Also, these plants are growing faster with biochar, which helps to suck up carbon. Biochar acts as a fertilizer which means nasty chemical fertilizers are unnecessary, another way biochar helps the plant!

What does your vision of a sustainable community look like? What would need to be changed in order for such vision to become reality?

I think people need to be more open-minded to renewable possibilities-under that failure may happen but it's worth it to take a step in the right direction and discover what sustainable action works best!
  • Reflection Question
Health and Education Fund Family Planning
When family planning focuses on healthcare provision and meeting the expressed needs of women, it results in empowerment, equality, and well-being, and the benefits to the planet are side effects. Why is family planning an important civil rights consideration?

    Cassie Hearn 4/02/2021 7:48 AM
Family planning gives women basic rights and the ability to choose which direction their lives go in. Women are able to go to school and become financially free.

Mindful eating helps me to enjoy my meals and to really understand when I am starting to feel full!
