I learned that Emerson's Family love the Earth. In every region of this world where Emerson is located, there are more employees engaged in sustainability and that is something that inspires me to keep going, take action and create a change.
  • REFLECTION QUESTION

What are the implications for a culture that spends most of its time inside and on screens?

    Dom Gacutan 4/14/2023 7:18 PM
Spending time outside, exploring the area and nearby places ridng a bicycle while having "Kamustahan" with your friend is always as sweet as honey. Due to Holidays, I spent a lot of time exploring outside and got to places like, falls, mountains, rivers, seas where I could say, Our planet is amazing and deemed to be protected.

What was it like to practice mindfulness? If this is a practice for you already, what was something new you understood in practicing during Earth Month?

    Dom Gacutan's avatar
    Dom Gacutan 4/14/2023 7:14 PM
I do meditation for 15 to 30 minutes a day including Praying for all the things done in my life. This has always been a good way to fresh start a day and magnificently end a night. This Earth Month thought me to be mindful of the things that has impact to our planet and I believe that I, contributing to save mother earth even in the smallest ways can make a difference.

How is planting trees good for your mental, physical, and spiritual health?

When I was a kid, I go with my Mother in every community activity she has participated with. One was tree planting. Back then, I just go with her because I want to play no more no less. When I started high school, I applied for a scholarship in our city and one activity we did as a scholar is tree planting. When I planted the tree handed to me, the memory of how my Mother participates in tree planting when I was a kid flashed back before my eyes and I began to realized the importance of tree planting. It was because right in front of me that time are so many trees and that was the same exact location where my Mother planted those trees back then.

Basic Needs & Security Take 5-Minute Or Less Showers
With 5-minute or less showers reducing your water footprint, what do you plan to add next to your water conservation habits?

    Dom Gacutan's avatar
    Dom Gacutan 4/04/2023 2:08 AM
Currently in our place, We are having a water availability scheduled rotation. So aside from taking less than 5 minutes in shower, we are also doing a one time washing of dishes every after meal and we are using drums or any water collector that served as our water consumption threshold for a day.
